The Knot Vendor Appreciation Party

Background
The Knot, a leading wedding media and services company, hosted a gala event to
thank its Michigan-based advertisers for their support. Approximately 350
guests representing vendors from across the wedding industry enjoyed the
strolling reception, which featured signature martinis, an elaborate ice bar
and live entertainment.
Working in conjunction with Details by Laura Allis, an event planning company in Grand Blanc, Mich., we based the design of the event off of the invitation that had been created. We created distinct areas, or pods, each featuring one of the colors in our palette - pink, green and chocolate brown. To recreate the circular feel of the invitation, we used a variety of round 8-person and 10-person tables, as well as high and low cocktail tables. Each pod included comfortable sofas and chairs, and large screens flashed each vendor's name throughout the night.
Guests feasted on heavy hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails, such as the Knotini, while dancing to a fabulous band, Skyline and the Backstreet Horns. One of the highlights of the event was an exceptionally-sculpted ice bar, complete with a martini glass luge and floral olive. As guests departed, they were handed large goody bags filled with giveaways from the participating vendors.
