Meet the Team

Marianne Thai

Event Manager

Marianne Thai unexpectedly entered the event planning field in college when one of her sorority sisters was tragically killed in a hit-and-run car accident. In her friend’s memory, she developed an endowment scholarship and an annual, campus-wide 500+ attendee fundraiser, the first of its kind at the university. 

Marianne first joined Laura Davis Events as an intern in 2005 and went on to manage her own successful wedding planning business, which she owned and operated for three years. Marianne believes that the planning process should be an enjoyable and memorable experience and that an event’s success lies in the details. This philosophy has earned Marianne an excellent reputation with clients and vendors alike. 

Marianne’s career path led her back to Laura Davis Events and in February 2008, she re-joined the team as an event manager. In this position, Marianne manages and leads client accounts throughout the entire planning process. She also acts as the lead on-site coordinator for wedding and event days.

Kelly Long

Event Coordinator

Kelly Long joined the Laura Davis Events team as an event assistant in December 2008 after successfully completing the fall internship program. She was promoted to an assistant event coordinator in October 2009 and to event coordinator in June 2010. In this position, she works as the lead wedding coordinator for the company's Frosted Pink Events division, working closely with clients to finalize details and coordinate rehearsal and wedding day logistics. Kelly also provides the event managers with on-site assistance at weddings and special events.  

Jaime Hall

Event Coordinator

Jaime Hall first started with Laura Davis Events as an intern in Spring 2009. She impressed Laura with her dedication to every task she took on, no matter how big or small. She rejoined the staff as an event coordinator in July 2010. In addition to assisting the event managers with on-site event execution, Jaime is a lead wedding coordinator for the company's Frosted Pink Events division. Her willingness to go above and beyond for clients makes her a valuable part of the team.

Jamie Patterson

Assistant Event Coordinator

After completing the Spring 2010 internship program, Jamie Patterson joined Laura Davis Events in July 2010 as an assistant event coordinator. In this position, she provides planning support on client accounts and assists the event managers and coordinators with the set-up and execution of rehearsals, weddings and special events.
